We’re delighted to confirm our reapplication to be a government-approved training provider has been a success!
Last year, the government announced a refresh of the register of apprenticeship training providers (RoATP). The refresh has involved a change to entry requirements that means training providers must meet a more stringent and challenging set of criteria to be approved. The update also required those providers already on the register to reapply.
This all comes as part of the government’s commitment to continually drive up the quality of apprenticeship training.
Being on the RoATP means training providers can access government funding to train apprentices.
Training providers can only apply to join the register if they have been invited to do so. For training providers to be invited they must:
- fill a training need (gap in provision), and
- have been named as a preferred provider in an employer business case
“For children to become physically confident in a way that supports their health and well-being, we know that those who work in the PE, sport and leisure sectors need their own opportunities to grow in confidence and develop in skill. That’s why we’re committed to providing first-rate training to teachers, teaching assistants, support staff and sports coaches.” said James Trowman, director and co-founder at Aspire Active Education Group. “Our training arm, Aspire Training Solutions, has featured on the RoATP since 2019 and we’re thrilled our reapplication has been successful, confirming our continued status as an approved provider of high-quality training.”
