Celebrating women's impact on Aspire Active Education Group

It’s International Women’s Day, so we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate some amazing women who have made a huge impact at Aspire Active Education Group.

Aspire is privileged to have exceptional team members who embody our organisational values and deeply influence their colleagues. Today, we proudly showcase six remarkable team members and celebrate their exceptional work and achievements at Aspire. Each team member has made a distinct impact on various aspects of the organisation.

Steph Donovan – Virtual Education Content Lead

Steph has played a crucial role in broadening our educational offerings by developing a variety of new courses on Aspire:ED. These courses are being designed to align with CIMSPA's important values, ensuring quality and relevance. Her commitment to our mission has been a key factor in introducing course content that not only educates but also engages and inspires young learners. With a focus on inclusivity, Steph’s innovations are helping us reach our goal of engaging 1 million young people in sports by 2025. Her ideas continually drive us to find new and exciting ways to make sports education accessible to all.

Bailey Smallman - Sports Educator

Bailey started this academic year by delivering an incredible gymnastics workshop for the rest of the delivery team, this was especially impressive as Bailey had pushed herself outside of her comfort zone and exceeded her own expectations, which is one of our company values. Bailey has received high praise from her schools, with one Head Teacher stating “Bailey's calm and reliable work ethic are truly great. Her flexibility and ability to adapt to various situations exemplify her professionalism. She has a special way of interacting with children that is both gentle and effective.”

Danielle Miles-Ranger - Holiday & Wraparound Programme Manager

Danielle’s commitment to her work and her team is truly remarkable. Her strong work ethic, coupled with her compassion for the children and young adults she works with, sets her apart as a true leader in our organisation. She has used her incredible leadership skills and innovation to develop our Active Camps programme and motivate the delivery team. Danielle is a shining example of what it means to be a strong, hardworking woman in the business world.

Letitia Lea – Marketing Manager

Over the past 9 years at Aspire, Letitia has been instrumental in steering our marketing efforts across the diverse branches of our organisation, from innovative programmes like 'Road 2 Paris' and 'Swim:ED' to our longstanding programmes such as 'Active Camps' and ‘Aspire Training Solutions’. Letitia's work extends to nurturing vital relationships through Aspire Active Partnerships' huddles and conferences, and expanding educational horizons with Aspire:ED. Letitia’s exceptional planning and organisational skills ensure that our marketing campaigns can run smoothly and she used her experience to develop the skills of our marketing assistants.

Ramonaa Nahar - Play Settings Leader

Ramonaa joined us as Play Setting Leader in September for our new wraparound programme, Aspire Kids Club, at Wodensfield Primary School. Those who have worked with Ramonaa have described her as “truly caring and kind-hearted” and that is shown through admiration that the children at Wodensfield have for her. She has taken on this new role with an incredible attitude and the programme at Wodensfield has grown to be a great success, thanks to the effort and commitment that Ramonaa has displayed.

Julie Hampton – Bikeability Instructor

Julie’s passion towards delivering the Bikeability programme is amazing to see. She has received a lot of positive feedback and praise from the schools she has delivered in. Here is a quote from one of her recent schools, “They way she looked after our children, the way she had their best interest at heart, it was really nice to see. The children really respected and got on with Julie and she makes it fun and enjoyable for them”.
