The summer holidays have come to an end and we have had a fantastic time on our Active Camps and HAF camps. This summer was the biggest yet, with an incredible 8 Active Camps and 17 HAF Camps.
Here's what happened this summer...
Active Camps
We ran 8 Active Camps this summer with venues in Sutton Coldfield, Solihull, Alvechurch, Hagley, Leamington, Codsall, Wombourne and we also had a new venue in Stafford. Overall, the programme was success and we engaged thousands of children in activity during the school holidays. This is incredibly important as children are recommended 60 minutes of daily physical activity. Our Active Camps consisted of action-packed days of sport and physical activity, offering children a safe space to learn, socialise, stay active, form friendships, develop interests, build confidence and create lifelong memories.
Summer Skillathon!
All children booked on to our Multi Sports Academy on Active Camps this summer received a challenge card with a list of Multi Skills challenges to complete. Those who completed the challenges were entered into a prize draw to win some amazing prizes. These included a free week on Active Camps, Vue Cinema vouchers, Rush Trampoline Park vouchers, A Drayton Manor Family Pass and a Fox Cycling UK bike! The winners will be announced shortly on our social media platforms and contacted directly, so keep an eye out if you were involved.
Inflatables returned!
Over the last couple of weeks of the summer holidays we managed to get inflatables out to most of our HAF and Active Camps and it is safe to say the children had a blast and loved their time with the inflatables. It is definitely a favourite amongst the children on camp and we will certainly be bringing them back to Active Camps in the near future!
HAF Programme!
We ran another successful HAF programme, our biggest yet with 17 venues across the summer holidays. This government funded programme, allowed us to provide free childcare to children eligible for free school meals. It is an excellent initiative that we are proud to be a part of. At our HAF camps we provide a free meal and deliver Multi Sports, Maths on the Move and English on the Move sessions.
Looking ahead to October Half Term...
