Both camps offer full day childcare from 8am to 4pm, with Multi Sports Academy for children aged 4 to 11 and Active Leaders for ages 12 to 14. Four year olds can attend for a maximum of four hours per day.

Get creative at The Codsall Hive
The Codsall Hive has a couple of creative activities taking place during half term.
Its Halloween Clay Ghosts, Owls & Pumpkins workshop runs on Monday 26 October from 10am to 11am.
Children can get hands-on with clay to create pumpkins, owls, witches’ hats and other Halloween-inspired pieces, alongside themed arts and crafts. Tickets are £17.50 plus the booking fee.
Then on Tuesday 27 October from 10am to 3pm, there’s a Neon Disco Poster Painting activity for families looking for something colourful and creative.

Pick pumpkins near Wombourne
For an easy autumn activity close to Wombourne, Beech House Farm Pumpkins in Seisdon is open every day during half term.
The pumpkin patch is open from Friday 23 to Friday 30 October, from 10am to 4pm.
There’s a 10-acre pumpkin patch to explore, food from the farm kitchen and tractor-pulled trailer rides, weather permitting.
There’s no need to book, and both entry and parking are free. You simply pay for the pumpkins you choose.

See MAMMA MIA! at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre
For an indoor treat, MAMMA MIA! arrives at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre during October half term.
The musical opens on Tuesday 27 October 2026 at 7.30pm.
There are 7.30pm performances from Tuesday 27 to Saturday 31 October, with additional 2.30pm matinees on Wednesday 28 and Saturday 31 October.
The show runs for around 2 hours 35 minutes including a 20-minute interval, with age guidance of 5+. Tickets currently start from £24.

1. Get outside around Codsall and Wombourne

The Bratch in Wombourne is a good option when you want an easy local outing.
Families can walk along the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal, explore the historic locks and look out for wildlife. There’s also a 1.4-mile circular walk along the canal and former railway line.

Baggeridge Country Park is another useful choice, with woodland, open space, walking routes, a play area and a family mountain bike trail.
The park is open throughout the year apart from Christmas Day and Boxing Day, although it’s worth checking current parking and visitor information before travelling.
For children who love animals, Northycote Farm and Country Park is another low-cost option.
Entry to the farm and woodland is free. The animal enclosures are open 9am to 4pm, with the car park open 8am to 5pm.

West Midlands Safari Park
West Midlands Safari Park is running Spooky Spectacular from Saturday 10 October to Sunday 1 November 2026.
The Halloween programme includes Patch’s Pumpkin Party, spooky character appearances, a Movie Monsters Trail, crafts and seasonal theming around the park.
Show and character appearance times are still listed as TBC, so check the park’s website before travelling if there’s something in particular you want to see.

4. Keep a rainy day backup ready
October weather has a habit of changing the plan.
The Codsall Hive is a handy local option for pottery painting and creative activities, even if you don’t book one of its special half-term workshops.
