We’re saying farewell to the name Aspire Sports and would like to introduce you to Aspire Active Education Group.
That’s right, we’ve had a name change.
Here we explain the reason behind the name change and what it means for you.
Why have we changed our name?
The past 17 years have been incredible for Aspire Sports. We have helped engage hundreds of thousands of children in physical activity since we launched in 2005. However, if we look at who we were then and who we are now, a lot has changed. And so, to reflect that change, we’ve decided it’s time for a rebrand.
In recent years, we’ve grown from being solely a sports and physical activity coaching provider working in schools and delivering Ofsted registered holiday camps. You may have seen our training framework, Aspire Training Solutions, mentioned, or heard us talk about Aspire Active Partnerships, a network we established to support and collaborate with UK-wide organisations in our sector.
We’ve expanded what we offer and wanted our name to encompass these new ventures.
The services we deliver, and the programmes, resources and products we create have also shifted in focus. We’re still strong advocates of sport and the positive impact is has on children and young people, however, it’s important for us to also consider and reflect on physical activity and its positive impact.
Our name change from Aspire Sports to Aspire Active Education Group captures this progression.
We’ve evolved and so should our name.
What are the different arms to our organisations?
Aspire Active Education Group is the parent company made up of the following:
- Aspire Active Camps: Our Ofsted registered school holiday camps
- Aspire Active Education: Our delivery in schools
- Aspire Training Solutions: Our training offer, including apprenticeships and courses
- Aspire Active Partnerships: Our network of UK-wide sports coaching companies
What does this name change mean for you?
Don’t worry, our name change doesn’t mean anything will be different on your end. Since the services we offer and the products we create have gradually evolved over the years, there will be no sudden changes to what we offer or the quality of that offer.
We’re the same organisation with the same great team, offering the same great services and products, aiming to achieve the same vision of ending physical inactivity forever. We’re just doing it under a new name.
