Moments that matter: celebrating apprenticeship milestones at CV Life

At Aspire Training Solutions, we believe that every learner’s journey is worth celebrating, not just at the end, but at every meaningful step along the way.

That’s why we were honoured to attend a special morning event hosted by CV Life, bringing together apprentices, employers, and mentors to reflect on progress, recognise achievements, and share the power of purpose-driven learning.

A morning of reflection, recognition and connection

The morning began with a lively icebreaker that set the tone, encouraging apprentices and employers to connect, share stories, and step outside the day-to-day.

From there, learners moved into group reflections, exploring the progress they’ve made from building new skills and confidence to overcoming challenges and setting fresh goals.

Since starting with Aspire, Chloe has seen real growth in herself, gaining confidence not just at work, but in everyday life too. The support and encouragement she’s received from the Aspire team have played a big part in her journey.

Alphie reflected on his development with pride, noting how he progressed from shadowing lessons to confidently leading his own. This week, he stepped up even further, delivering crash courses and supporting camps, marking a significant milestone in his journey.

These honest reflections showed how far learners had come and just how powerful apprenticeship experiences can be when the right support is in place.

Celebrating pride, passion, purpose and the mentors who inspire

To close the event, attendees were invited to nominate individuals who exemplify the spirit of apprenticeships. Four key values were recognised:

  • Pride – for those who take ownership of their development
  • Passion – for learners who bring energy, commitment, and enthusiasm
  • Purpose – for those staying focused and future-driven
  • Mentor – for the individuals who go above and beyond to guide and support others

It was inspiring to see so many examples of dedication not just from learners, but from the mentors and employers who walk alongside them.

Learner spotlight: Mia, Level 4 Sports Coach apprentice

We caught up with Mia, a Level 4 Sports Coach apprentice working with CV Life, to hear about her journey so far.

Q: How did you first hear about Aspire, and what made you choose your apprenticeship?
I was already working for CV Life and knew I wanted to go into football coaching, so this apprenticeship felt like the perfect fit.

Q: What new skills have you developed since starting your apprenticeship?
Adaptability has been key. Working across multiple schools instead of just one has boosted my confidence and helped me adjust quickly to new teams and environments.

Q: What challenges have you faced so far and how have you tackled them?
Working in different schools with new pupils and topics each time was a challenge at first, but it quickly became a great opportunity to build my confidence and adaptability. It’s taught me how to step into any environment and make a positive impact.

Q: How has this Level 4 qualification prepared you for this journey?
It’s taught me a lot of transferable skills. Even though I’m focused on football, I’ve picked up techniques from other sports, such as netball, basketball, and invasion games, that have really enhanced my coaching.

Q: How has this apprenticeship helped you grow personally?
It’s changed the way I approach planning sessions. I now think more about who I’m coaching, what their learning styles might be, and how to tailor sessions for the group after getting to know them.

Q: Has this programme been adaptable to your needs?
Definitely, I have had great support from both CV Life and Aspire. Whether it was help with coursework or just someone to talk to if I felt like I was falling behind, there was always someone there to guide me and keep me on track.

Q: What advice would you give to others considering an apprenticeship in sports coaching or the wider industry?
Don’t stress too much about the unknown. There will always be things you can’t control, but you’ll learn to adapt. That’s all part of the journey, and you’ll grow a lot from it.

Why these moments matter

Being part of the CV Life event reinforced why we do what we do at Aspire Training Solutions. It’s not just about delivering qualifications, it’s about building confidence, developing resilience, and empowering learners like Mia to thrive in and beyond the workplace.

Every milestone tells a story of progress, and we’re proud to help learners write theirs.
